Translating/Editing

  Darrell Arnold has over ten years of editing and translating experience at German universities and research institutes in areas as diverse as philosophy, sociology, literature, law, economics, political science, biology, and women's studies.

  After working freelance for various departments at the University of Bielefeld and for the Women's Initiative "Frauen Geben Technik Neue Impulse," at the University of Applied Science, Bielefeld, in 2000 Darrell began work with the Max Plank Institute for Research on Collective Goods in Bonn, Germany. He also continues to do freelance work.

  Darrell has done translating and editing for projects sponsored by the German Federal Ministery of Education and GTZ, and revised texts and/or translated for publications with Cambridge University Press, Rowman & Littlefield, Ashgate, Edgar Elgar, as well as for journals such as Governance, the Journal of European Public Policy, the Journal of Common Market Studies, and others.

  On the basis of his long-year experience, he has developed the compilation of academic writing tips, linked on the right.

  Just a few of the European-based academics who he has worked for are Christoph Engel (Max Planck Institute, Bonn), Adrienne Héritier (European University Institute, Florence), Helmut Willke (Department of Sociology, Bielefeld), Chrysostomos Mantzavinos (Witten-Herdecke University).
